I have a lamp that I would like to paint. Since, the lamp is round (obviously) I was wondering what a successful method for re-creating a design off of a flat surface would be.
How can I replicate a design on an odd surface?
Trace the pattern onto a piece of paper and then put carbon paper on the lamp and trace the image onto it using the paper copy.
Reply:I agree with Romeo, but if the surface is very curved you may have to adjust the tracing to make it look proportional. In any case, test this method on a similarly shaped object first. Report It
