Take your ideas into the tattoo parlor and let the artist there handle that part. He'll just call you up when its ready. Its the best way. Good luck man.

I think Japanese style are the best. And defintely the best for sleeves. The design looks better and doesn't jumble together.
ID watch miami ink a bit and check out Garver and Ami's stuff in particular.
