What color should I paint/design a room with mint green carpet and white walls?

We are about to move into a new house. There is one room with white walls, and mint green carpet. What color should I paint it, how should I design it? What color sofa should I get? Any ideas?

Reply:I would get a dark brown leather sofa to anchor the room... the other colors in the room..... i would stick with differing shades of green. For the window treatments..... I would get a green fabric with flecks of dark brown.





get some dark brown accessories for the room, such as baskets and frames for the wall art





to make it more feminine you can throw in some splashes of purples and pinks in the form of floral arrangements and some sculptural pieces.





Nice big green plants/trees will be a great addition to this room.

Reply:You could go with a pale blue on the walls and a chocolate brown couch. Save the cardboard circles from frozen pizzas and using them as a template, trace circles on to your walls and take a blue that is a shade darker and some mint green paint and white too...paint the circles. This would add a retro/modern design to the room. Maybe even have your curtains pick up the color of the couch.

Paint it light blue, like "North Star" by Sherwin Williams, and then get a denim or navy blue sofa.
Reply:This one gives me alot of ideas!!!Well first of all that color pallete is already awesome.Second of all i would go with a nataural look like thin tree brances stuff like that.if you don't like that make it a cozy space like Bean bags,rugs,and few pieces of furniture.But im not the boss of you so do whatever you want.

area rug and/or few throw rugs with maroon, green, white (also protects light color carpet plus adds color).


Add blanket on back couch, couch pillows, etc.. with more of accent colors.
